capital building project – 2019 – 2025

2023 – the latest, in short, is there has been extensive reporting and surveys conducted to ascertain the sequence of building works which need to take place. Whilst this is happening backstage, on the stage (which we bought from a local school) we’ve started an events strand here: https://shambles.org.uk/

The old town hall sits in the heart of Wiveliscombe, near Exmoor. Derelict (save a pigeon or twelve) for over 60 years, I’m driving the trust who are working towards reinstating this building for the community as an eclectic and much needed/desired arts venue.

To do this there is a trust in place, who are working with the Co-op (the landlords), to secure major investment and local funding. We are also working with the ever growing (and ever excellent) Onion Collective to properly invest in the community of Wivey and the surrounding hills.
